Workshop on low vision in Genoa (Italy)
Carol Camino, the low-vision specialist at the Institut de la Màcula and the President of the Spanish Society of Low Vision Specialists (SEEBV), has taken part in a two-day workshop in the Italian city of Genoa this February. This allowed her the opportunity to experiment with a new test for the more flexible location of eccentric fixation, which is the process by which image fixation is projected outside the central fovea. She was also able to try out new devices, based on technologies with light, that assist people with low vision.
Carol Camino attended the workshop with a group of eight SEEBV representatives as guests of the Italian optical company, Fonda.
