MicroPulse laser 23/03/2013

A recent development, MicroPulse technology that uses very low-level laser therapy with a short, repetitive pulse rate lasting just millionths of a second, that results in a safe, effective method with fewer side effects at a cellular level. In some studies on its role in treating diabetic macular oedema, MicroPulse has also proven to be as effective as conventional treatment. In these same studies, improvements have been observed at a microperimetric level before they have been detected using optical coherence tomography.
At the Institut de la Màcula we have MicroPulse technology, an excellent application for some cases of diabetic macular oedema, secondary oedema to vein occlusion and in some cases of central serous choroidopathy, among other illnesses.
