Eyelid malposition 24/03/2013

Malposiciones

The eyelids can suffer from a range of pathologies. The most common are badly positioned eyelids such as drooping (palpebral ptosis), ectropion and entropion.

In general, these occur during middle and old age but can sometimes also appear in young people or be congenital. These anomalies in the position of the eyelids can hinder vision, as in palpebral ptosis, or may irritate the eye's surface, as in the case of entropion and ectropion, where the rim of the eyelid turns inwards or outwards, respectively.

All these situations can be resolved using minimally invasive surgery, with no visible scar and long-lasting results.
